Living Our Values into the New Year
As 2020 draws to a close over the next two weeks, we at Core Endeavors are taking our own advice and carving out some wellbeing time. Everyone has had quite a rollercoaster of a year--us included. While there were certainly some painful and frustrating lows, there have also been many, many wonderful highs, for us as individuals and as business partners:
Amy:
Got married to my love in our living room with a few local friends just before the pandemic was upon us;
Celebrated a virtual college graduation for my oldest son and one of my bonus kids and helped launch both into what’s next for each of them;
Made several home improvements;
Launched a personal blog about my adventures in cooking
Had an interesting pandemic camping/Airbnb adventure with my husband in a 1981 VW Vanagon with ongoing operating issues;
Learned to connect with others in new meaningful ways through phone and video.
Holly:
Completed a few small painting projects around our home;
Dove into online wellness learning opportunities;
Sent my teenager off to high school;
Celebrated 7 years of wedded bliss;
Enjoyed lots of outside summer time and camping trips;
Savored a slower life pace that allowed for much introspection, reflection and personal growth.
Together:
Created and led a wellbeing series for women in the early stages of the pandemic;
Started Core Endeavors Coaching & Consulting;
Began a project for future launch (!!);
Made several new connections with wonderful people;
Learned a ton and had a lot of fun!
We choose to focus on these positive aspects of 2020 as we move from this year into the next. We encourage you to reflect and find gratitude where you can, understanding that some have had a more difficult time than others. And, sometimes it’s the little things that can bring so much joy and meaning.
We will pick up where we left off in early January with Dreams, Plans, Goals and Contingencies, so take some time to rest, relax, reflect and restore--and DREAM BIG about how you want your life to be in 2021 and beyond.
Happy New Year--Be Well.
