I am Amy Ackermann and I am passionate about helping midlife and menopausal women, and the organizations in which they work, thrive.
My mission is to help educate and empower others toward greater understanding, empathy, support and even joy around getting older and about “the change” that half our population will inevitably face—through no fault of their own.
We do this together by focusing on Menopausability™—the ability to capture existing possibilities, pause when needed, and pave a path to and through midlife and menopause. Menopausability™ helps you understand and embrace your individual and unique journey, shake the stigma, and minimize the symptoms and shame. My vision and goal is to support as many individuals and organizations as possible to be more informed about women’s aging and menopause, and inspired to make impactful changes in promoting women’s health and wellbeing.
For over 30 years as a trainer, coach, mentor, HR and organizational development leader, I have helped individuals and organizations achieve their goals, navigating change to becoming the best versions of themselves.
Since 2020, my coaching and consulting business has helped a variety of people and organizations move from what’s now to what’s next in meaningful ways. In 2024, due to my own intense and impactful midlife and menopause journey, I was inspired to transition to specifically supporting women at this stage of life and organizations ready to focus on helping the broad spectrum of their female employees succeed. Throughout my experience and shifting business focus, I’ve become a bit obsessed with learning all I can about menopause and its impacts, trying different approaches for myself, and sharing what I’ve learned with others. Together, each client and I embrace Menopausability™ as a foundation to nurture thriving individuals and organizations.
I have a Bachelor of Science in Human Development and Social Policy (Counseling) from Northwestern University, and I am a Certified Professional Coach (CPC) through iPEC. I have training in the Neuroscience of Change, change management, and am pursuing a specialized menopause coach certification. I am a lifelong student of people, habits, choices, influences and why we make the decisions we do. I love to help others build a dynamic and meaningful future and to help organizations foster the best cultures possible for all. In addition to helping others, I also enjoy cooking (and eating!), reading, nature walks and hiking, attending live music events, fun with friends, travel, and spending time with my family and my dog, Tyger.
